<p class="read_text">病院・医療機関では近年、院内感染や危険なウイルス感染症などが大きな問題となっており、対策に力を注いでいます。利用者の中にも「トイレで感染するのでは？」「病院の温水洗浄便座を使っても大丈夫？」と不安に思う人が少なくありません。安心して気持ちよく利用してもらえるよう、以前にも増して、適切な維持管理が求められているといえるでしょう。病院・医療機関のトイレ清掃を行う際に、今一度見直し、徹底し気をつけていただきたい基本が幾つかあります。 菅原えりさ先生にそのポイントをお聞きしました。</p>

<p class="read_text">秋から冬に向かう頃、目立つのが「ノロウイルス」の集団発生（アウトブレイク）報道です。一次感染源として牡蠣の生食にリスクがあることは一般的に知られていますが、流行の要因は学校給食や仕出し弁当などの調理中の二次汚染。家庭内でもトイレなどで家族間に感染するという報道も繰り返されています。感染症の予防と消毒・滅菌に関する日本の権威のお一人である尾家重治先生に、予防対策についてお話をうかがいました。</p>

<p class="read_text">私たちは、社会的生活を営む限り他人はもちろん微生物とも無縁では生きていけません。人間とよい共存関係にあるものから深刻な感染症を引き起こすものまで、微生物の人間に対する影響もさまざまです。感染症について冷静に、なおかつ科学的な見地から「正しく恐れる」ために、公衆衛生学の研究者である伊与亨先生に、水まわりにおける生き物と人の健康との関わりについてお話をうかがいました。</p>
